Lynchburg Man To Be Sentenced In August For Murder

Sentencing is set for August for a man convicted of shooting and killing a Lynchburg man in a road rage incident in January. 46 year old James Hooper lll was found guilty of shooting 27 year old Jacob Robertson after they both pulled their cars into the Circle K gas station in Blairs after the incident on US 29. The jury recommended the maximum sentence of 40 years on a murder charge, and the use of a firearm carries three mandatory years in prison
